1. 형태

1) (명사 + 기수) 앞에 

World War 2 began in 1939.

 

2) (신분, 관직;보어) 앞에

He was elected mayor of the city.

 

3) (관직 + 고유명사)

President Kim joined the convention.

 

4) by + 교통,통신 수단

The student usually goes to school by bus.

Officer sent data by e-mail.

 

5) 운동, 식사, 언어, 학문, 거리이름 앞

I have dinner with my boyfriend.

He ate lunch at school.

We want to play basketball right now.

I will learn Korean.

They walked third street.

 

6) 요일, 월, 계절 앞

on Wednesday / in October / in spring

 

2. 형태

무관사 + 특정장소 : 장소의 본래목적

정관사(the) + 특정장소 : 다른목적

 

go to shcool (공부하러)

go to the school (공부 이외의 목적)

go to church (기도하러)

do to the church (기도 이외의 목적)
